Thinkific

Picture
This year, we will be using Thinkific, an online course platform, to help deliver our courses. Thinkific allows us to organize all our course material into different sections, making it easier for students and teachers to access and use. Using Thinkific, we will be offering different courses for Web Design, Java, Python, Machine Learning, and Scratch. Click here to view some of our full Thinkific courses!

Course Levels

We will be providing six courses total. Java and Python consist of a beginner and intermediate course (targeted towards 6th-12th graders), which build off of each other. Scratch (targeted towards 4th-9th graders) and Web Development (targeted towards 4th-12th graders) both have one level as they can be easily understood within the span one course. Machine Learning is a new course C4T is offering, consisting of just one level focused on Regression. See our Knowledge Base for more info.

Chapters and Lessons

Picture

Each course has between five to thirteen Chapters, which break down the language into important concepts. Inside each Chapter are found Lessons, which explain the Chapter furthermore. The break down of the concepts into Chapters and Lessons ensures that students will comprehend and be able to apply the new knowledge they gain in and outside of this course.

Assignments, Quizzes, and Projects

Our aim at Code 4 Tomorrow is to provide a project based curriculum so that students will have a more hands on experience than that of a lecture based one. After each Lesson, assignments and quizzes will be given to students to check their understanding of the Lesson covered. During the course, students will get the opportunity to create two to three projects reflecting upon all the knowledge they've learned.

FAQS

How do classes meet?
Your student's teacher will provide a Zoom or Google Meet link so that classes can meet remotely. Teachers may also decide to hold classes on the C4T Classes Discord server.
What is the student-teacher ratio going to be?
We cannot guarantee an exact student-teacher ratio, but typically our classes are anywhere from 5:1 to 20:1 (students:teachers). We always do our best to accommodate student and teacher preferences while also balancing the number of students in each class.
What do class codes mean?
Class codes are unique 5 digit numbers that help with identifying the exact class that a student or teacher is in. For more information go to class code system.
What do C4T's courses cover? Are there prerequisites?
Refer to course descriptions and prerequisites.
